The Base Sessions
This is our Friday night event which is very popular. An open mic night which welcomes all music styles. We give all bands & artists a 15 minute slot (or 3 songs) to show off their talent to the crowd. We provide a full backline, Guitar amps, Bass amps, drumkit (drummers please bring breakables), full digital P.A. and sound engineer.
Highlights of the night are filmed by an inhouse film maker and compilation video clips are available soon after the show which can be viewed on the Base Studios official Myspace http://www.myspace.com/basestudios
- The bar is open from 7pm.
- First band goes on at 7:30pm.
- Music finished for 10:45pm.

The Base Sessions night is linked to the Midland Newspaper 'Stourbridge News' who run highlights of The Base Sessions and run a quarter page feature every two weeks on some of the most promising artists to emerge on the Base Studios stage.
The Base Sessions is compered by Radio show host Nick J. Townsend who offers some of the more alternative acts airplay on his world wide show www.basementsound.co.uk
Other media groups such as Bridge Radio often send down radio presenters such as Marc Lungley who talk about the bands who bring in the big crowds at Base Studios on his weekly Wednesday night show.
