Paris – Dakar Challenge – In Aid Of Mary Stevens Hospice
On the 20th of September 2008 an epic journey will start from the uk overland to west Africa following the same route as the famous Dakar rally. Warren & Sarah Evans from BASE STUDIOS & Andrew Dickinson from the FRENCH HEN will be joining a team of adventurers to embark on this grueling feat.
Warren will be riding a motorbike alongside an old friend Jon Robinson for the entire trip through UK, France, Spain, Morocco, Mauritania Senegal and Gambia.
Sarah & Andrew will be driving a modified Land Rover, especially designed for desert conditions by Liveridge 4x4, who work closely with the UN in Sudan.

Fund Raising Party At The French Hen In Clent, Friday the 29th of September
Local band Mojo Rising are donating their artistic time to ensure the evening starts with a swing, and will be performing live various covers of some top songs. Liveridge are hoping to be able to arrive in style with some further examples of their Land rovers to mooch around, there will be raffles and fun and frolics, with all proceeds going to Mary Stevens Hospice

Initial heat to be held on the 6/7/September 2008 at Base studios. Five local judges will choose 10 bands to go through to semi finals. Each band will be asked to perform two tracks.
Semi finals to be held 1st of November 2008 at Base studios, the same judges will be asked to select the best five bands to through to the final.
The final will be held 6th of December 2008. The final will be broadcast live on the internet.
Finalists will get to perform live on the Internet for free, contacts with local promoters such as Gotham records from Birmingham and Kerrang radio. Winning band will receive live recording of track played on local radio station the bridge, HD DVD of event, 10 hours of rehearsal time
